Question about creating a /blog link in Hugo

Hi all,

I am a newbie to Hugo so please bear with me. Please point me to any relevant posts and/or documentation which answers this question - I did a search in this forum, read the docs and google searched but still cannot find the answer/figure it out.

Essentially what I want to do is this. in my site , xyz.com, I want to have a few static pages , for example, About, Contact, Resume etc. Then I want to have a blog at url which is “xyz.com/blog”.

When someone arrives at the site, they are redirected to “/blog” (I realise I can do this in the webserver using a 302 redirect or something like that) but would it be possible for Hugo to show xyz.com/ with the index page showing a summary of all the posts ?
